This piece was cut and wax-detailed for medical science as part of the medical osteology trade. It depicts nerve endings and has several different cuts to reveal the sinus cavities. This skull has good dentition, despite one of the front teeth missing, as well as a molar chipped. It is missing a piece of the cranium along the sutures in the back of the skull.
