The Stentor Student 1 FINETUNE Viola Outfit is the same instrument and outfit as the Stentor Student 1 Viola Outfit with one big difference – it is fitted with Wittner finetune pegs as standard. Wittner finetune pegs look exactly the same as standard pegs but have a fine gearing inside which makes tuning quick and easy. The Stentor Student 1 Viola Outfit is a good quality, entry level viola outfit including a wood bow, a lightweight oblong case and a rosin. It is hand carved from quality tonewoods, has blackened hardwood fingerboard and a tailpiece with integral adjusters. The Stentor Student 1 FINETUNE Viola Outfit is set up standard with factory fitted strings but we offer the option here of upgrading to branded set of quality strings, the two most popular being D’Addario Prelude or Ascente. Upgrading the strings will further enhance the sound of the instrument. Instruments not properly set up can have a detrimental effect on the players progress, even leading to the player being put off for life. At Caswells we operate a strict policy of setting up every instrument, regardless of level, to exact standards and specifications. This includes cutting the bridge and top nut, setting the soundpost, and lubricating the pegs. Instruments are shipped with the bridges up.
