Hole Size for This Teardrop Door We recommend cutting a hole with the specs of this drawing.  This will make a 1/8″ gap all around the door in the inside.  That gap allows for rivet heads in the frame to fit and for 1/8″ shims to get the door into just the right place.  Once the door is installed on the outside of the trailer, a trim ring is installed on the inside and covers the 1/8″ gap.
