OK – I’m not the ultimate DIY’er. It took me a little while to figure out how to install this. So, I figured maybe I could share my advice with others who may encounter a similar problem:The long rectangular plate on the bottom of this item is NOT the mounting plate. It is just a temporary plate put there to hold the unit together while being handled and shipped. You remove this plate before installing and attach the existing mounting plate that will be on the old blower you are replacing. Took me a while to figure this out. For a minute, I thought this new blower had a different mounting plate and I was in for a world of grief. Not so. Once I figured it out – it all went fine.Blower works fine – nice and quiet. I’m giving it 5 stars and will reduce if issues arise or longevity is less than I am expecting.I installed this on my Free-Standing Harman Accentra that I purchased in 2007.
