A Vintage Butler & Wilson Double Butterfly Enamelled Brooch

A spectacular vintage Butler & Wilson brooch featuring two beautifully layered butterflies in a striking three-dimensional design. The smaller cobalt blue butterfly is suspended above a larger raspberry-toned example, creating depth and movement. Both butterflies are finished in translucent, high-gloss enamel over a rich gold-plated base, allowing the gilt surface to shimmer through the colour. The wings are set with numerous multicoloured rhinestones, while Aurora Borealis stones highlight the bodies and wing edges, producing vibrant flashes of colour from every angle. The antennae are finished with jet black facetted rhinestones for contrast. Clearly hallmarked to the rear with the Butler & Wilson crown and initials, and fitted with a French-style roll-over safety clasp in perfect working order. Presented in the original cobalt blue velvet drawstring pouch. All in mint condition, with no damage or losses, appearing unworn and exceptionally well preserved.
