Vintage Enamelled Letter Opener Sword by Toledo Spain

Excellent example of Vintage Letter Opener in the shape of a sword by Toledo Spain. Finely carved decoration, contoured handle and hilt to half dome handle protection, all finely etched and filled with black enamel. Around the outer dome are 3 Small, finely detailed and enamelled scenes: Bull Fighter with Cape, a Picadore lancer, mounted on horseback, and Flamenco Dancers. The Blade is chromed, double-edged also finely engraved and decorated with TOLEDO on both edges at hilt. This is believed to be a model of TIZONA design, double edged with a fine point. Condition is excellent for age, soft aged patina with minor enamel loss only to Dancers. Dimensions approx.: Overall length 17cm x 4cm across handle max.. Toledo, Spain.
