Ok, so I haven’t washed it yet… but I’m sooo thrilled with this recovery suit. I bought a couple different ones, and THIS one is the way to go!! Trust me, it’s far better. All the basic stuff is proper… good sewing, nice and thick t-shirt material, the cute graphic is awesome and looks like it was put on well. It’s all spot on.But here’s the real deal that makes it BEST in my book… The others I got were the design that the long part goes on their back, and comes down through their legs and then up and wraps around their belly. DON’T get that kind. It’s okay I guess, but it ends up with basically their tummy having a T-shirt coming down over it, and the “pants” part coming up over that. So when they curl into position to check out their belly or privates you just have to hope those two pieces stay together? About half the time mine wanted to inspect her incision, those two layers didn’t stay together and it left this big gap, showing her right where to lick! Argh! A safety pin worked okay, but I didn’t feel great about her having a pin like that on her clothes.This one, this Ruff Life one �� is perfect. It’s designed just like real onesies for babies are! There’s just one flap that comes up from between their legs and snaps right above their tail. So their whole belly is totally covered no matter how they twist or turn! And the leg holes have plenty of room for her to move freely, but don’t have the inherent big gap that the other types have (also a way mine was finding to get to her belly).It’s just great! I don’t usually write reviews… but if you’re looking at the reviews and wondering which one you should pick… I did the same thing, and this one is FAR better than the other ones I bought.My dog is a maltipoo. 6.5 pounds. I bought the XS. It fits great. There are two rows of snaps. I have it on the bigger set. If she were a little smaller/shorter… the other row of snaps would make it still be perfect!The T-shirt part around her chest is nice and loose. Not baggy, but not constricting either. The neck hole is maybe the slightest bit snug? I just stretched it with my hands and it’s fine. Fits like a short collared turtle neck, not like the too-baggy necks on many other dog clothes. It’s great.As long as it doesn’t explode in the washing machine, I think this is the one you should get!!! �� Haha I hope your pup heals up quick! Mine is doing great!
