A Vintage Sterling Silver Brooch set with a Natural Baltic Amber Oval Cabochon

A beautiful vintage Sterling Silver brooch set with a highly distinctive Baltic Amber oval cabochon, rich in colour and natural character. The amber displays remarkable inclusions resembling tiny seed pods dispersing fine seeds, suspended within a warm cognac ground—an extraordinary natural formation that gives the piece exceptional visual interest. Formed over millions of years, Baltic Amber is prized for these organic inclusions, often containing plant matter and occasionally insects, making each example entirely unique. The brooch is fitted with a French style roll-over clasp in perfect working order. The pin shaft is clearly hallmarked with DP designer initials and 925, confirming Sterling Silver to British standards.
